I hope you might be in a position to consider this invitation to perform with me in Rome in late June/early July 2015.

Join with other fine young choirs as we meet in Rome to rehearse and then perform both individually and as a festival choir singing Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and in the festival gala concert. For those that wish it, travel with me to Tuscany for a further gala concert in Florence.

I am drawn once again to Italy, the land of the renaissance, of awe inspiring venues and the origin of so much of our music. The food, the extraordinary power of Rome, the endless Tuscan vistas, the thrill of Florence, …this is the tapestry upon which we weave our performances

An invitation to sing in the 

Rome Choir Festival!

When I was 16 years old, I had the privilege of traveling with my high school choral and instrumental ensembles to France, England and Ireland. It was a remarkable and life-changing journey.

Because of that opportunity in my youth, I learned to appreciate other cultures, to absorb the historic beauty of European cities and countryside, to make life-long friendships and to create music beyond anything I had ever experienced.

In part this is why I have accepted the invitation to lead the Notes of Joy festival - hoping to help make the same kind of opportunity available to other singers. Perhaps there is no-where better in the world to take our music than to Italy - the source of so much of our music and inspiration.

Traveling to Italy enables you to sing in glorious centuries-old cathedrals, see magnificent frescos by Michelangelo, savor the aromas of authentic Italian food, and hear the Italian language spoken - the operatic language of so many Verdi, Puccini and Mozart operas.

Join me in creating music and memories that will stay with you for a lifetime

Choral Odyssey Greece June 2015 with Anna Hamre

An invitation to Choral Odyssey Greece!

Join us on our choral odyssey to the land of Homer and Euripides. Explore the land of Zeus, Apollo, and the other Olympian gods. View the structural perfection that defines the Parthenon. Imagine the ancient Colossus presiding over the harbor at Rhodes.

Greece is the culture that formed our understandings of democracy and our notions of civilization. Enjoy the beauty and cuisine of the Mediterranean while we explore the city of Plato and Aristotle. As we visit Delphi, recall the troubled warriors who journeyed there to consult the oracles. Wander with us as we evoke the words of the great Socrates, who said, “Wisdom begins in wonder.”

Artists remember that Greece is the home of the Muses: writers continually search for their muses, travelers visit museums, and those with free time amuse themselves. We will make music in the land of Orpheus!

Sing Austria Choral Festival June 2015 - with Karen Kennedy

An invitation to Austria

Please consider joining me for an incredible musical and cultural experience in Vienna, the European ‘cradle of culture’!

The history of the choral art form is replete with contributions from Austrian artists, including Mozart, Mahler, Haydn, and so many more. To sing the works of the great composers in the places in which they were originally performed is an unforgettable experience—one that will forever impact the way we interpret these masters’ musical legacies.

In addition to being transported musically, we will enter a world where old-world charm can be found on every street corner - in the cathedrals, shops, and museums of Austria. The cultural exchange between American singers and Austrian musicians brings a palpable energy, both on and off stage, and the best way to experience it fully is to engage on an artistic and personal level.

France Choral Festival June 2015 - an invitation from Mary Breden

Touring and performing in the great cities of Europe creates wonderful lasting memories.

I would be delighted to have you join me in an incredible singing opportunity as we explore the sights of Paris, the magnificent City of Lights, as well as the charming town of Versailles, home of the famous palace of the French royalty.

We will present festive concerts in both Paris and Versailles. Hearts will be moved as we travel to Normandy to visit Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery overlooking the English Channel. Here we will remember and honor our fallen World War II heroes in a moving musical tribute.

A visit to Europe is incomplete without a visit to France.

I wanted to let you know I’ve chosen Ireland as the location of my 2015 international festival. It is a land of magic, whimsy and history - a place that celebrates culture as an integral part of the spirit of its society.

Consider joining me as we meet and perform for the people of Dublin and Belfast. We will immerse ourselves in their culture and share the music of both lands in our gala and individual concerts.

International festivals of this nature are wonderful ways for singers to take the world stage, sing in grander combined festival choir venues and present their own choir’s gifts and talents.

KI is proud to launch its 2015 programs! 

CUSTOM TOURS


All of our favorite destinations in Europe, Asia and the Americas are featured in 2015. There is renewed interest in Greece and Northern Ireland as well as Peru and Argentina (tour in the footsteps of Pope Francis). Don’t forget the extraordinary India and that Australia is becoming more affordable through exchange rate changes.

KI is so honored to have many of our beloved festival leaders return in 2015: Leck Italy, Stroope Barcelona, Breden France, Kennedy Austria, Dilworth Ireland, Hamre Greece. We proudly present Conlon in Monteverdi's Mantua & Venice and introduce Gentry in Italy.

Our festivals are staged to encourage

• individual performances
• custom touring/performances (pre or post)
• the participation of fully balanced choirs or groups of singers and their directors if the full choir cannot tour.

Some hallmarks of KI touring include: individual billing at no extra cost, breathtaking venues, warm appreciative audiences, head office support all the way through till the tour’s conclusion, sensational local tour managers and touring/bussing/accommodation/food that is inviting, comfortable and safe!
