♪ Italy’s Notes of Joy Choir Festival – Rome, June 2015 with Gregory Gentry

I’d be honored if you would consider bringing your choir (or a group of your singers) with me to Italy for the Notes of Joy festival I am leading there next June. In addition to singing Mass at St. Peter’s, and the gala festival choir concert, there will be opportunities for individual performances and options to continue touring and singing in Florence and Venice.

At 16 years of age, I had the privilege of performing with my high school ensembles to France, England and Ireland. It was a remarkable and life-changing journey. Through this, I learned to appreciate other cultures, absorb the historic beauty of European cities and countryside, make life-long friendships and create music beyond anything I had ever experienced.

In part this is why I have accepted the invitation to lead the Notes of Joy festival - hoping to help make the same kind of opportunity available to other singers.

Traveling to Italy enables you to sing in glorious centuries-old cathedrals, see magnificent frescos by Michelangelo, savor the aromas of authentic Italian food, and hear the Italian language spoken - the operatic language of so many Verdi, Puccini and Mozart operas.

Join me in creating music and memories that will stay with you for a lifetime

Singing in Austria ♪ June 2015 with Dr. Karen Kennedy

Dear friend

Please consider joining me for an incredible musical and cultural experience in Vienna, the European ‘cradle of culture’! This is where I will be leading a festival of choirs featuring individual and combined choir performances in Vienna and Salzburg next summer.

The choral art form is replete with contributions from many Austrian artists, including Mozart, Mahler, Haydn. To sing the works of the great composers where they were originally performed is an unforgettable experience—one that forever impacts the way we interpret the legacies of these masters.

Our performances will be presented where old-world charm is found on every street corner - in the cathedrals, shops, and museums of Austria. The cultural exchange between American singers and Austrian musicians/audiences brings a palpable energy, both on and off stage, an energy that needs be experienced by every musician once in their life if possible.

I look forward to the chance of working with you and your singers to create a top-flight experience. Until we meet ...

Alles Gute! (All the Best!)

Sing in Paris ♪ Versailles ♪ Normandy - June 2015 with Mary Breden

Touring and performing in the great cities of Europe creates wonderful lasting memories.

I would be delighted to have you join me in an incredible singing opportunity as we explore the sights of Paris, the magnificent City of Lights, as well as the charming town of Versailles, home of the famous palace of the French royalty.

We will present festive concerts in both Paris and Versailles. Hearts will be moved as we travel to Normandy to visit Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery overlooking the English Channel. Here we will remember and honor our fallen World War II heroes in a moving musical tribute.

A visit to Europe is incomplete without a visit to France.

How exciting it will be to share this visit with you!

♫ Choral Odyssey Greece! - June 2015 with Anna Hamre

Where better to plan a choral performance odyssey than to Greece, the land of Homer and Euripides. Explore the land of Zeus, Apollo, and the other Olympian gods as we sing in their shadows. View the structural perfection that defines the Parthenon. Imagine the ancient Colossus presiding over the harbor at Rhodes as we cruise the Greek Islands.

We will rehearse and sing in Athens as well as on our cruise ship. Enjoy the opportunity for individual, combined and exchange concerts as, together and separately, we make great music in the land of Orpheus during the summer of 2015.

Greece is the culture that formed our understandings of democracy and our notions of civilization. Enjoy the beauty and cuisine of the Mediterranean while we explore the city of Plato and Aristotle. As we visit Delphi, recall the troubled warriors who journeyed there to consult the oracles. Wander with us as we evoke the words of the great Socrates, who said, “Wisdom begins in wonder.”

Artists remember that Greece is the home of the Muses: writers continually search for their muses, travelers visit museums, and those with free time amuse themselves.

Join us in Athens and cruising the Greek Islands for the Choral Odyssey of a lifetime!

For those of you attending the ACDA Western Division convention in Santa Barbara feel free to ask me or my friends from KIconcerts for more details.

Sing with Henry Leck in Italy - summer 2015

I was wondering if you might you be in a position to consider performing with me in Italy during the summer of 2015.

We will sing as a combined choir and individual choirs in the great city of Rome and sing Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica. I am traveling to Tuscany for a further gala concert in Florence for those that wish to join me there too. I know many choirs will continue onto Venice for further sightseeing and concerts as well.

I am drawn once again to Italy, the land of the renaissance, of awe inspiring venues and the origin of so much of our music. The food, the extraordinary power of Rome, the endless Tuscan vistas, the thrill of Florence…this is the tapestry upon which we weave our performances.

For those attending the ACDA Western Division convention, my friends from KIconcerts and I will be there to answer any further questions otherwise be in touch with Oliver Scofield directly.
